Pullman Hotel, Buffet meals, Bangkok
My previous posting was about King Power which is pretty much part of The Pullman Hotel. They are not part of the same building but so close together that it seems as if they are and this is what brought me to have my lunch buffet at The Pullman Hotel.
King Power Duty free, Bangkok, Thailand
King Power, which is the name of the company / monopoly of the duty free shops in Thailand, has ( unwisely ) opened a new center near Victory Monument and The Pullman Hotel.
The idea is that people going on vacation, or leaving Thailand can pre-shop at this King Power duty free shopping center and have their goods ready for collection when arriving at the airport.

Siam Underwater World RIP OFF, Bangkok, Thailand
Siam Underwater World at Siam Paragon feels no shame in jumping on the band wagon of ripping off tourists and over charging non Thais by an extra 100 + %.
That’s right !!, if you are not Thai and want to go to Siam Paragon’s Underwater World, you will pay 60% MORE as an adult and over 100% as a child!!…. A RIP OFF FOR TOURISTS !!

Holiday Inn Buffet Breakfast Let Down
Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 and I woke up starving having gone to bed without eating the night before and so I decided on a buffet breakfast at one of the hotels in my area and I chose The Holiday Inn on Silom road although I needn’t have bothered as it just wasn’t worth the money.

Indian Food - A success story
Having thrown caution to the wind after a bad experience with Indian Hut, I still wanted to get a good curry down me and so I tried the Indian restaurant in Siam Paragon. it’s called Royal India and is part of the central section where you can grab a card and order from various food stalls.
Loy Kratong nightmare…
It’s been a bad few days recently and to make things totally screwed up, I went to Hua Hin during Loy Kratong.
For those of you who don’t know, Loy Kratong is a festival where Thais apologise to the water for making it dirty, and they do this by floating thousands upon thousands of non perishable “Kratongs” on rivers and lakes….. this is akin to apologising to someone for punching them in the face, but doing so by kicking them in the teeth.
Indian Hut, Indian restaurant in Bangkok
I had a hankering for some Indian food the other night and opted to go to Indian Hut which I have driven past on a number of occassions.
I must have got there early as the place was completely empty but that suited me as I was after a take away and didn’t want to have to wait…. ( read the whole post )

Blocking Thailand’s Shops
I’m clearly missing something here. Saturday I went for a walk down the stinking / festering section of Bangkok ( oh, wait a minute, that’s ALL of Bangkok ), I meant to say, a section of the stinking festering mess that is Bangkok. This section is my usual haunt of Soi Convent and Silom.
Having navigated round the food stalls by walking on the road, it dawned on me that many, many more road side stalls have sprung up in the area; especially on the corner by Fitness First.

Why Do Transvestites ( Ladyboys ) serve me ?
The title is a little miss leading. I don’t mean they “serve” me, as in..give me service, I mean, they always come to serve me. Hell, I’m getting into a mess here, what I want to say is: Why do I always get served by Ladyboys in a shopping center ? Why me ? I don’t have much to say about them as a whole, but I don’t want to go and get a new pair of undies and have a tranny serve me up with all kinds of sugegstions of what I should or should not be getting…..
